Project Overview

Campus Connect is a mobile application concept designed to simplify communication between students and their institution. It provides a centralized platform for announcements, attendance tracking, class schedules, and academic updates. The goal is to reduce information overload and help students quickly access everything they need in one place.

The Problem

College students often receive important information through multiple communication channels, such as WhatsApp groups, notice boards, emails, and faculty messages. Because this information is scattered across different platforms, students can easily miss announcements, lose track of schedules, or forget academic deadlines.

User Insights

To understand the problem better, I spoke informally with students from different academic years about how they receive campus information and the challenges they face.

Things I noticed

• Students mostly relied on multiple WhatsApp groups for updates.
• Important announcements were often missed.
• Timetables, attendance, and notices were scattered across different places.
• Everyone I spoke with wanted one thing: a single place to access academic information.

Design Goal

How might we create a centralized platform that helps students quickly access important campus information without relying on multiple communication channels?

• Centralize academic information into one platform.
• Make announcements and schedules easy to find.
• Reduce the chances of students missing important updates.
• Create a simple, intuitive user experience.
